Introduction to Core Technologies and Processes
The production of PVC glazed tiles mainly adopts extrusion molding technology. Its core technology lies in:
1. Co extrusion technology: The vast majority of PVC glazed tiles use Co extrusion technology.
·Upper layer (surface layer): Adding a large amount of anti UV agents (UV), titanium dioxide (TiO2), and rich pigments to ensure the weather resistance and color durability of the tiles, without fading for more than ten years.
·Lower layer (bottom layer): mainly made of PVC and calcium carbonate (CaCO3) to ensure the strength, toughness, and cost advantage of the tiles.
2. Vacuum shaping: The molten tile embryo extruded from the mold immediately enters a dedicated vacuum shaping table, and through vacuum adsorption and cooling water cooling, accurately replicates the concave convex shape and details of the glazed tile, and quickly solidifies and shapes it.
Main components of the PVC glazed roof tile extrusion line
A complete fully automatic PVC glazed tile production line mainly includes the following systems:
1. Mixing system
·High speed hot and cold mixers:
·This is a necessary prerequisite for PVC processing. Add PVC resin, stabilizer, modifier, internal lubricant, external lubricant, filler (CaCO3), pigment and other additives according to the formula ratio into the high-speed hot mixer, and fully mix, permeate and pre plasticize them at high temperature (about 120 ℃).
·Then immediately put it into the cold mixer and quickly cool it to 40-50 ℃ to prevent material agglomeration and degradation, and obtain a uniform dry mixed powder.
2. Extrusion system
·Conical twin-screw extruder:
·This is the "heart" of the production line and an ideal choice for processing PVC powder. The conical twin-screw has strong feeding capacity, relatively mild shear heating, and good mixing and plasticizing effect.
·Co extrusion host: used for extruding the main material (lower base material).
·Co extrusion auxiliary machine: usually a smaller single screw extruder, specifically designed for extruding surface layer materials.
·Co extrusion mold:
·This is the core of technology. There is a precise flow channel design inside the mold, which can accurately combine the two streams of molten materials from the main machine (bottom material) and auxiliary machine (fabric) in the mold head, and form specific shapes of glazed tiles (such as waveform, S-shape, etc.).
·Material: High grade alloy steel, with highly polished internal flow channels that are wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
3. Vacuum shaping and cooling system
·Vacuum shaping table:
·This is the key to molding. The high-temperature softened tile embryo extruded from the mold mouth is immediately sucked into the first shaping die of the shaping table.
·There is cooling water inside the shaping mold, and the upper and lower mold walls accurately replicate the final shape of the glazed tiles. The negative pressure generated by the vacuum pump tightly adheres the mold embryo to the wall of the shaping mold cavity, rapidly cools and solidifies into a precise shape.
·It is usually composed of multiple sections (such as 4-6 sections) of vacuum shaping box, with a length of up to 6-8 meters, to ensure that the tiles are fully cooled and shaped.
·Cooling water tank:
·After preliminary shaping on the shaping table, the tiles enter the cooling water tank for final cooling, allowing them to fully reach room temperature.
4. Traction and cutting system
·Crawler type tractor:
·Provide strong, stable, and even traction to smoothly pull tiles out of the mold, overcoming the huge resistance of the vacuum forming table. Crawler traction can better protect the shape of tiles and avoid crushing.
·Automatic tracking cutting saw:
·This is the key to achieving automation. The cutting device synchronizes (tracks) with the movement speed of the tiles through photoelectric or encoder signals, and then performs cutting. After cutting is completed, it returns to its original position.
·The cutting length can be precisely set to ensure that the length of each tile is consistent and the cut is smooth and even.
5. Auxiliary system
·Vacuum system: provides stable and sufficient vacuum degree for the shaping table.
·Water circulation system: provides cooling water for extruders, molds, shaping tables, and cooling water tanks.
·Temperature control system: Accurately control the temperature of each section of the extruder and co extrusion mold.
·PLC control system: integrates control of all motors, temperature, vacuum, traction, and cutting, usually equipped with a large-sized touch screen for convenient parameter setting and monitoring.
Summary of Production Process Flow
PVC resin+ additives (stabilizers, lubricants, etc.)+filling (CaCO3) → high-speed hot mixing → cold mixing → main extruder (bottom material)&auxiliary extruder (fabric) → co extrusion mold → vacuum shaping table shaping → cooling water tank → crawler traction → automatic tracking cutting → inspection and packaging → finished PVC glazed tiles
Key Technologies and Selection Points
1. Formula is key: an excellent and weather resistant formula is a prerequisite for producing high-quality glazed tiles, especially the selection of UV resistant agents and pigments in the surface layer formula.
2. The mold and shaping table are the core: the design level and processing accuracy of this system directly determine the appearance, dimensional accuracy, and production stability of the tiles. Good molds have uniform discharge and easy shaping.
3. Co extrusion technology: Ensure that the fabric and substrate are firmly bonded without delamination, and that the fabric thickness is uniform and the color is consistent.
4. Choose an experienced supplier: The design of glazed tile molds requires experience, and equipment debugging (such as matching vacuum degree, temperature of each section, and traction speed) is also very important. Be sure to choose equipment manufacturers with mature cases.
5. Clarify product positioning: Before purchasing, it is necessary to determine the specifications (width, wavelength, thickness), output, and quality level (such as filling material ratio) of the target product, so that the equipment supplier can provide suitable models (such as extruder size) and molds.
